Internal notes and feedback within the Keka HR portal are critical components that aid managers and employees in fostering a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.


Internal Notes for Managers:

  • Managers can use internal notes to document key interactions, performance insights, and development plans for their team members, which can serve as valuable references during performance reviews.
  • These notes can outline the path and support provided to employees, helping managers track the effectiveness of their coaching and mentorship efforts.

  • Internal Notes for Employees:

  • While internal notes are not directly visible to employees, they often form the basis of performance discussions, giving employees clarity on their strengths and areas for development.

Feedback for Performance Enhancement:

  • The feedback feature allows for a structured way to provide and request feedback, enabling an environment where constructive criticism is shared in a supportive manner.
  • Positive feedback and acknowledgment of achievements motivate employees and reinforce desired behaviors and outcomes.

Setting Up Internal Notes & Feedback:


Let’s get started on how to activate and manage these within your system:

Navigate to the Performance (1) section, then open the Continuous Feedback (2) tab and click on Settings (3) and in the feedback section click on Edit(4) option.



You will option to enable or disable personal feedback, please note that if this option is disabled all the previous feedback will also be hidden.

Feedback Providers: Determine who can give feedback within your organization. You have the options to choose from Everyone, Only managers & Managers and peers.


Feedback Request Permissions: Decide who can request feedback by selecting Employees or Managers on behalf of their reports or both.


Internal Notes Accessibility: Finally, define who can write internal notes Everyone or Managers.
