How to enable leave accrual based on employee's attendance?

Modified on Tue, 6 Feb at 3:14 PM

Based on certain standard company policies, organizations may decide to accrue leave balances based on their attendance. Keeping these practices in mind, Keka allows you to accrue them based on this data.

Here's how you can set up the same -

Go to the Time Attend (1) section of the Keka Portal, and click on Leave (2). Then go to the Leave Plans (3) tab.

Now select the Leave Plan under which the settings need to be made. Here, we have taken General Leave Plan (1) for instance. You'll be taken to the Configuration (2) tab. Now click on Setup (3) of the leave under which this needs to be enabled, we have taken Paid leave for instance.

You can also edit the existing leave and do the settings in the same way as shown below.

To know more about how to edit a leave type, click here.

Once you reach the settings page, there would be a total of 3 steps. You need to go to the 1st step i.e., Accrual & Accumulation (1), and select Accrued periodically (2) from the dropdown by clicking "How are paid leave allocated to employees?"

Then go to the Additional Settings, and tick the check box of "Leave accrual is impacted by employee's attendance/number of days worked every Month.", and you can set the number of days accordingly. Then click on Save & Continue (2) and complete the remaining steps.

This is how you can enable leave accrual based on an employee's attendance.
