As assets are updated at a set frequency to keep up with the updating world and make sure that the employees have the right assets to fulfill their Job responsibilities. In this case, the old assets will no longer be used by the organization. In this case, these assets will not be considered as in the inventory and need to be deleted.
You can only delete an asset which is not assigned to an employee. If you would like to delete an asset which is assigned to an employee, you need to recover the asset first and then delete it.
To delete an asset, go to Org (1) and select Assets (2). Here select Asset List (3) and navigate to the Asset Category (4) in which the asset is added. Here, for the asset you would like to delete under Actions click Options (5) and select Delete Asset (6).
In the window click Confirm (7) to delete the Asset.
