How to change worker type for an employee?

Modified on Tue, 27 Jun, 2023 at 4:31 PM

In an organization, there can be different types of employees such as interns, contractors, or permanent staff. Additionally, there are full-time and part-time workers. There are instances where admins may need to modify an employee's worker type, such as transitioning from intern to permanent or changing from part-time to full-time. Fortunately, Keka offers the flexibility to change the worker type whenever necessary.

To change any particular employee's worker type, search that employee's name in the Global Search Bar (1) of the Keka portal to open their profile, and click on the Job (2) section. In the Job Details card, scroll down to find Worker Type field and click the Edit icon (3) to make the changes.

In the window that opens, select whether this is a Correction of Data or a Worker Type Change.

Correction of date means if we have made any error by giving the wrong date we use the Correction of date and it will not relfect on the employee timeline

Date of joining Change means we are changing from one date to another date and this will relflect on the employee timeline as the the date has been chnaged from one date to another date.

Then, select the required Worker Type from the dropdown of the worker types that are already configured in the system.

Along with that, select the Time Type (1) i.e., Full time or Part time employee. Then, click on Update (2).

And now the worker type for this employee will be updated in the repository.
