Managing assets is essential in any fast-paced work setting. Keka simplifies this by letting you assign assets to employees in a way that suits your needs. You can assign assets in bulk for speed and convenience, or individually for a more tailored approach.
Here's how you can go about assigning assets to employees:
Assigning Assets Individually
Search (1) for the employee to whom you want to assign the asset to and open their profile. Then go to the Assets (2) tab, and then click on Assign Asset (3).
Now the Assign Asset page will open where you can select Asset category, Asset Type, and Location (1) and then click on Assign Asset (2).
Now another page will open up where you need to give the date on which the asset was assigned (1).
You can also add the Asset condition, asset image, or note, and then click on Assign (2).
Once you click on assign, the asset will successfully be added to the employee.
We can only add asset images while adding assets individually only.
Bulk assignment of Assets to employees –
Below is the path from where Bulk assignment of Assets can be done –
Go to Org (1) section of the Keka Portal, then go to the Assets (2) tab, then click on Asset List (3). Once you click on the Asset list you have an option of Bulk add/update assets (4).
Once you click on Bulk add/Update assets, you’ll be directed to the Import Assets window.
There are 3 steps to complete the Bulk Assignment Process.
The first step would be to download the Excel file. Click on Excel Template (1). The new Excel template sheet will be downloaded.
Once the template sheet is filled with all the necessary data, you will have to upload it in Upload Excel File (2).
NOTE: We are attaching the full procedure of bulk import below for all the steps for your reference.
