What is Preboarding?

Preboarding is the process of welcoming, engaging and preparing new hires before their join the organization. It's a way to ease the transition for employees and make them feel welcomed and informed even before they step into the workplace. It is also a phase where some of the crucial formalities like document collection & verification are taken care of.

One of the biggest advantages of Preboarding is that it can significantly enhance the likelihood of a candidate joining an organization. By engaging with candidates before their official start date, a company can create a positive first impression and build a sense of connection. It helps alleviate any potential uncertainties the candidate may have and sets a welcoming tone for their upcoming role. Ultimately, a well-executed preboarding process contributes to a candidate's overall positive experience, making them more likely to follow through and join the organization.

The big announcement

Preboarding has been a part of Keka Hire (our hiring platform; if you are not using it already, you should definitely check it out for your hiring requirements. Click here). After extensive conversations with many customers and gathering valuable feedback, we have made the decision to relocate the Preboarding module to Keka (CoreHRMS) with the intent of enhancing the entire preboarding experience for our customers.

Preboarding as a module will be moved to Keka (CoreHRMS)

• If you are a new customer who haven’t used Preboarding module in Keka Hire earlier, then there is no action needed from your end.
  
  
• If you are an existing customer and especially if you are already using Preboarding in Keka Hire, we know there would be many questions running in your mind. In the following section we tried to answer the what & whens about this change:

Preboarding transition to Keka: What, when, how…

• What exactly is the change? 
  • ’Preboarding’ which was previously an offering in Keka Hire is being moved to Keka (CoreHRMS).
    
    
• When is this change scheduled? 
  • This is currently in cooking and we are planning to release it in the next couple of weeks tentatively. We will keep you informed about the exact release date as we get closer.
    
    
• Any action needed from customers? 
  • We are trying to make this transition as seamless as possible by automating the entire migration. Nevertheless, if there is any action needed from you, we will keep you well informed and ensure we support you throughout the process to provide the best experience at every step of this transition.
