When it comes to job applications, they come pouring in from all sorts of places such as hiring drives, advertisements, referrals, organic social media, direct reach-outs, and via emails. Now, imagine a neat system required to sorts these sources into categories. This helps you analyse the various sources for your jobs and uncover key insights such as which sources gives you the best candidates or has the highest success rate. You can also see what sources are giving you low quality candidates. This is critical in focusing your efforts on the best sources.


Using Keka Hire we can add different channels under each source. Let's dive in to understand how this categorisation can be done on Keka. 


Understanding Source categories


In Keka Hire, there are some standard set of sources added by default, let us now understand them in detail - 


  •  Job Boards: 
    Utilizing platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter broadens the reach to a diverse audience. Social media enables the portal to showcase company culture, job openings, and engage with candidates actively.
  • Hiring Drives: 
    Organizing targeted hiring events allows for direct interaction with a pool of potential candidates. These events could be industry-specific or geared towards specific skill sets.

  • Reach-out:
    Proactively reaching out to potential candidates who may not be actively job hunting can yield excellent results. This personalized approach can attract candidates who might be a perfect fit for the organization.

  • Organic Social Media :
    Apart from paid advertising, maintaining an active and engaging presence on social media organically can attract candidates who are interested in the company's values and mission.

  • Advertisements :
    Strategically placing job advertisements on various platforms helps create awareness about job openings. This could include both online and offline channels to capture a diverse audience.

  • Resume Database :
    Building and maintaining a robust resume database ensures that the portal has a pool of pre-screened candidates readily available for current and future job openings.

  • Referral :
    Encouraging current employees to refer qualified candidates not only promotes a sense of teamwork but also brings in candidates who align with the company culture.

  • Source Via Email :
    Direct outreach through email campaigns enables the portal to communicate directly with potential candidates, keeping them informed about job opportunities and fostering a connection.


Adding a Source Category


To add you own source of category, click on Settings (1) from the left navigation menu and navigate to Sources (2). Click on Add Source Category (3).



An overlay window will appear with Add Source Category screen. Provide the name of the Source Category, Description, and click on Save to add a new source category.



Adding a New Source to a Category


To add a new source into an existing category, locate the Edit Icon placed on the right side of each category. 


Upon clicking it, an Add option will appear. Select this option and proceed to input the name of the new source.
