Managing team goals is the essential for effective leadership and organizational success. In the fast-paced world of today, where time is a precious resource, the ability to efficiently manage team objectives is a vital tool for employers.
Keka's "Team Goals" feature offers a streamlined solution to these challenges, making goal management a breeze. In this article, we explore how this feature simplifies the process, saving time, and providing clarity.

Note: Manager have access to view goals assigned to their team members, while Department Heads have visibility into goals at the department level.
To access the Team Goals tab, click on My Team(1) from the left navigation menu. Navigate to Performance (2) under which you can find Team Goals(3) click on it.
Sorting Your Search
When you click on the Team Goals, you will find the filters at the top of the screen. These filters allow you to refine your search, choosing options like time frames, reports, departments, and more. They simplify the process of finding the specific data that you need.
When you click on Group By Employees option the data will be sorted based on the employees and the goals assigned to them.
Under the filters, you can find the data of the goals represented in the form of a Graph. These data are related to the progress of the goals that the employees have achieved to date. The Goal by Status shows the date of the goal's status, ensuring that employers are always well-informed about the current status of the goals.
Adding a Goal
Select the Financial Year to which you want to add a goal and click on Add Goal. Once you click on add goal you find a create goal screen where you need to enter the details of the goal.
On the "Create Goal" screen, you can input various details for your goal. This includes the goal's name, any tags, and a description if needed. You can also specify the metric type, whether it's based on percentages, completion status, or numerical values for calculating results. Define a starting value and the target value you want to achieve. Select the applicable goal type, assign an owner, set a time frame, and specify the start and end dates. Additionally, Keka offers the option to integrate data with apps like Jira to collect data and automatically update progress. You can either save this goal as a draft or publish it. If you wish to add a goal quickly to the existing list, use the option of Quick Create Goal.
Note: In Keka apart from the manual creation of a goal, you can also add it via template or import it through Excel.
Managing Goals
To perform bulk actions, click on the check box adjacent to the goal and you will find the options of Approve, Reject, Clone, Reopen and Delete.
To perform goal specific action click on the Three Dots under the actions. Here you can perform actions such as adding sub-goals, and tasks, aligning goals, closing, editing and deleting goals.
Within this screen, you can make changes to the progress of the goal by adjusting the progress of the goal.
If you wish to look more detail into any specific goal, click on the goal and you will redirected to goal-specific data, wherein you can add descriptions, subtasks, notes and weightage to the goal. At the end of the screen, you can also find the history of the recent actions, and editings that were made to the goal.
