The sandwich policy is where if a leave is adjoining a week off/holiday, then the week off/holiday is also considered a leave. Similarly, for No attendance penalizations, we can configure such penalizations when no attendance date is adjoining a week off/holiday.
To configure this, go to Time Attend (1) and select Attendance Tracking (2). here under Tracking Policy (3) select the Tracking policy you want. Now move to Versions (3) and you will see the different tracking policy versions. Now on the latest version click the Edit (5) Icon available.
In the page, select the date under Effective from (this should be the present or a future date. You cannot select a past date) and click Save and Continue.
Now in the Pop-up check the box, I understand and wish to proceed and click Save.
Now on the No Attendance page, scroll down and you will see If a Holiday is adjoining a day which has no attendance log, is it considered a leave? and If a weekly off day is adjoining a day which has no attendance log, is it considered a leave? You can select yes and choose one of the 4 options available and then click Save & Continue till you move to the last page and click Save & Close.
