Leave can take various forms depending on the context, such as privileged Leave, sick leave, maternity/paternity leave, or comp offs. In certain cases, the employer would need an attachment as proof in order to approve some leave types such as Medical Leave, exam leave, etc. in case the leave request exceeds a certain defined number of days.
In Keka you have the option to make it mandatory for employees to attach proof if the leave application exceeds a set number of days defined by the admin.
Let us take a look at the path for configuring the same -
Navigate to the Time Attend (1) section and click on the Leave (2) tab, you will be directed to the Leave Plans (3) tab where you will see a list of different leave plans. Select the leave plan to which you would like to edit. Go to the leave type where the change is needed and click on the three dots (4) under Actions and select the Settings (5) option.
On the next window, move to the "Applying Leave & Approvals" step by clicking Save & Continue and scroll down to find the Additional Settings (1) dropdown.
Under Additional settings, select the option that says 'Require attachments when applying, if the leave duration is more than "X" calendar days' (2). Add the desired number of days and click on Save & Continue (3).
On the next page click Save & Close, and that will save your settings.
We hope that you now have a better understanding of how to make attachments mandatory for leave applications on Keka. Please let us know if you found this document helpful. If you have any other queries, check out our FAQ articles or contact our product experts!
