How can employees apply for Work From Home?

Modified on Sun, 25 Jun, 2023 at 10:51 PM

WFH, or Work From Home, is a concept that allows employees to carry out their job tasks from the comfort of their own homes. It offers flexibility and convenience for employees while ensuring that the work is efficiently completed for employers. Working from home promotes work-life balance for employees while enabling companies to maintain productivity.

However, it's important to note that seeking approval is typically required when opting for remote work instead of reporting to the physical workplace. In such cases, employees need to raise a request to work from home. Now, let's explore how employees can apply a work-from-home request on Keka.

Go to the Me (1) section of the Keka portal and click on Attendance (2). Then, on the top right of the page, under Actions, click on Work From Home (3).

A pop-up will appear on your screen where you can select the Date(s) you want to work from home, then select the Session (first half or second half of the shift).

Next, provide the Reason for the WFH request and you can even add any other employee name who you want to Notify about working from home and then click on Request.

If the WFH request is only for one day, you can even use the 'This is an hourly Work From Home (WFH) request' option, and then select the time range for which are going to work remotely.

You will only see this option if it is enabled in the Capture Scheme assigned to you.

After this, the leave will go through the approval chain set up in the capture scheme assigned to you.

And that's it. We hope now the process to request WFH through the Keka portal is clear to you. In case you require any further assistance, don't hesitate in reaching out to our product experts.
