Ability to Delay Candidate Archive Email

Modified on Wed, 10 May, 2023 at 12:27 PM

We are excited to announce the release of our new feature that allows users to delay sending candidate archive emails when a candidate is rejected. With this feature, users can choose when to send these emails, select whether to notify the candidate of the rejection or not, and preview and modify the email content before sending.

There are several potential reasons why a recruiter or hiring manager might choose to delay triggering a rejection email to a candidate:

  • To avoid giving a negative impression by rejecting a candidate immediately after they apply, or after an interview or submission of an assessment. Sending an immediate rejection email can sometimes create a negative impression of the company in the candidate's mind, particularly if the rejection is perceived as unfair or impersonal, which could have a negative impact on the company's reputation.

  • To provide additional time to reassess the candidate's application and ensure that the decision is fair and appropriate

  • To avoid sending emails outside of business hours. Delaying the rejection email can ensure that it is sent during normal business hours, which can be seen as more professional and courteous.

When archiving a candidate, the user can choose whether or not to notify the candidate. If yes, the user will have the option to delay sending the archive email. Available delay options include Now, Next 2 hours, 8 hours, 24 hours and 48 hours. Users will also be able to preview and modify the email content before sending.

We hope this feature will help improve the candidate experience and give users more control over the timing and content of candidate archive emails.
