Keka's "Hourly Leave Feature" streamlines leave management with a focus on hourly-based work environments. Offering customizable accrual options from monthly to yearly, it simplifies applying for and approving leaves, catering to diverse organizational needs. This feature enhances leave policy alignment, making it a versatile tool for effective leave management.
Let's see how you can Apply for an hourly leave
Go to Me (1) and in the Leave (2) tab you'll find the option to Request Leave (3).
The Leave Request overlay window will now open. You will see a calendar displayed on this window for quick reference. Now, click on Select Date. Another calendar will appear where you can select the From date and To date on it.
Now, select the leave types from the Select the type of leave you want to apply and choose the relevant leave type from the available ones that have been configured in your organization's Keka HR Portal.
You can differentiate between hourly and daily leave types by their units.
After you select your leave date and type, you can pick between Full days or Custom. With 'Custom,' you get to choose from what time and how many hours of leave you want to request for each day of the leave.
You'll also see the total number of hours for your leave request below.
When you apply for a full day of leave, 8 hours of leave will be deducted from your leave balance. If you apply for 8 hours of leave on a day, it will be considered as a full day leave
Under Note, type in a reason for the leave. You can also notify additional employee(s) whom you would like to keep informed about your leave from this screen. Search for any employee you want to notify in the Notify section.
Once done, click on Request. Alternatively, you can click on Cancel, if you have changed your mind.
And that's it! Now the approver will also be able to see the exact date and timing of the requested leave and take the neccasary actions.
