Sometimes, businesses encounter situations where they must deal with the departure of a significant number of employees simultaneously. This is known as a "Bulk Exit." It can occur due to various reasons such as organizational changes, unfortunate layoffs, or other specific circumstances. Effectively managing this process is vital. In this article, we will walk you through the steps and important considerations when handling a bulk employee exit. This includes ensuring compliance with legal requirements and ethical standards, providing support to departing employees, and maintaining the smooth operation of the organization.
Go to Org (1) from the left navigation menu. Under the Exits (2) tab you can find Settings (3) section. Under the settings section you can find the Exit Reasons (4) section.
Once you click on Add Reason (6), a dialogue box appears where you need to enter the reason and click on Add (7) to save it.
Adding reasons follows a consistent process for both voluntary and company-initiated actions. The only difference lies in the category you choose when adding the reason.
Once you add and save these reasons they will appear during the resignation or termination process.
