Initiating Onboarding for Employees

Modified on Fri, 19 Apr at 12:28 PM

A typical onboarding workflow is triggered when the relevant HR stakeholder initiates the onboarding for the employee on the Keka HR Portal. The onboarding process that you have set up should ideally take care of all the operational aspects of the onboarding process such as collecting the relevant documents, getting the assets assigned, and more. This allows you to spend more time crafting the best experience for your new joinee.

On the Keka HR Portal, you can kick-off the onboarding process for any employee from the Onboarding section of the portal. You can select one or multiple employees at once and initiate onboarding for them. Depending on the onboarding group you assign and the flow you have set up for this group, the different stakeholders will be assigned tasks important for a smooth onboarding for the new employee(s).

Let us see how you can initiate onboarding for a group of employees and how you can keep track of the onboarding process.

Skipping onboarding for a group of employees

If you are new to Keka, you may find that all your employees are here. You can also decide to skip onboarding for some of your employees and not have them go through the standard onboarding process. You can select these employees from the list and skip onboarding for them.

To do this, select the employee(s) for whom you want to skip onboarding and then click on Skip Onboarding

This will skip onboarding for these selected employees.
