Keka PSA allows you to configure a set of information when you are adding a new client or project. However, you may need some custom fields that you need to add to make the information regarding the client or project more complete. The custom fields feature on Keka PSA allows you to add custom fields for both clients and projects.
Let us see how you can add and manage custom fields for projects and clients on Keka.
To view and manage custom fields, go to Project (1) from the left navigation pane. Select the Policies & Settings tab (2) and then go to the Custom Fields tab (3).
To add a new custom field for project, click on the +Add Field button under the Project Custom Fields.
You can setup the custom field as you wish. Let's consider a situation where you would like to categorize your projects based on defined categories like A, B and C based on some parameters. Let us see how to configure this as a custom field.
Enter the Field Name first and then enter an optional description. Next, select the Field Type. In this case, we can select Drop-down (Single Select). In the Options field, enter the various options you want to show in this drop-down. Type in each option and hit enter to add the option and add another one.
You can also choose if this field is a mandatory field. Select the Is Mandatory checkbox if you want this field to be a mandatory field. Click on Add to save the new custom field.
This custom field will now show up when you are adding a new project to Keka PSA.
To add a custom field for client information, click on +Add Field in the Client Custom Fields section. Follow the same steps as above to add custom fields for clients.
To edit or delete a custom field that you have added, click on the three dots icon under the Actions column corresponding to the custom field you want to edit or delete. Select Edit or Delete from the drop-down.
