How to enable the setting where employees have to apply x days prior taking leave?

Modified on Tue, 6 Feb at 3:13 PM

When going on a long leave, an employee needs to plan it ahead of time and it cannot be taken without prior notice unless it is an emergency. So in such cases, we need to configure the leave in such a way that they are allowed to apply for leave a number of days before the leave days.

To configure the settings go to Time Attend (1) and select Leave (2). Here move to Leave plans and select the Leave Plan (3) you want. Now for the leave type click options and select Settings (4) under it.

Now, in the leave type settings, go to Applying Leave & Approvals and scroll down to the check box Employee needs to apply prior to the leave dates. When you check the box you need to enter the minimum number of leaves to be taken in order to provide notice, the number of notice days and lastly the number of working days in the days mentioned. These need to be accommodated in If Leave duration is __ calendar days or more, a prior notice of __ calendar days is required, containing at least __ working days. In case the number of notice days changes with the number of leave requested, then you can add multiple levels using the Add option available. Once this is done, you can click Save & Continue and then Save & Close on the last page.

Hope you are now clear on how to configure settings for notice to apply leave. Need more help? You can refer to the other articles available or Contact us!
