How to change the Probation status of Employees?

When a new employee joins an organization, they start in the Probation status. This phase allows them to become familiar with the organization's policies and their job responsibilities. The typical duration of a probation period can vary, generally falling within 1 to 6 months.


Now, when it comes to altering the probation status of employees in Keka, there are three straightforward methods you can follow.


1. From Profile of employees


To change the probation status of employees in Keka as an Admin, search for the employee in Global Search (1) and go to their profile.



In the Employees Profile go to the Job section and under Job details find the In Probation? field. Then click on the Edit icon available beside the Probation status



In the window, you can select End Probation and select the Probation End date. Then enter the Note in the provided box. Once done, you can click Update to update the probation status of the employees.



2. From the Org section in Keka


As an Admin, you can also change the probation status of employees by going to Org (1) and then go to Employees (2). Here navigate to Probation (3) and then you should be on the In Probation tab. Then search for the employee and on the right under Actions click Options. Then select Change Probation status (4).



In the window, select the End Probation and Confirm as full time employee and select the Date. Then enter the feedback in the box provided. Once done, click Submit to end the probation of the employee.



3. Through Bulk Import.


You can change the probation status of employees through bulk import too. To do this, go to Org (1) and Select Dashboard (2). Here move to Summary and you will find Import Employee Job Details (3).

 


On the page click Download the Excel Template.



Then you can select All Employees in case you would like to download the template for all employees or select Only Group in case you would like to filter employees and only download the template for them and click Download.



In the template, you can change the Probation end date and also the In Probation status as per your requirement and save it.



Once done, in Keka on the same page click Upload Excel File and upload the saved file.



Then in the next page check the columns and click Continue.



On the last page in case there are no errors you can Click Complete.
