How to change the PIP status?

Modified on Fri, 23 Jun, 2023 at 3:26 PM

A Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) aims to help employees who are not meeting the expected job performance goals. A PIP is meant to cover specific areas of performance deficiencies, identify skills or training gaps, and set clear expectations for an employee's future conduct. Reporting managers being the ideal person responsible for an employee's performance can initiate or end a PIP for subordinates.

Let us go through the steps to change the PIP status for an employee -

Navigate to the My Team (1) section. Select Performance (2), then click on Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) (3) and you will be directed to In Process (4) (Additional options may appear based on your Job role). Click on Take Decision (5) against the employee name.

On the Overlay window, select your Decision (1) from the options, then add the reason for your decision (2), and click on Submit (3).

Alternatively, the admin can search for the employee's name on the Global Search bar (1), go to the employee's profile, then click on Take Action (2).

On the Overlay window, select your Decision (1) from the options, then add the reason for your decision (2), and click on Submit (3).

Once done, then the employee will be visible under the Completed tab of the Performance Improvement Plan.

Please note that once an employee's PIP is initiated, we cannot delete it, we can only end the employee's PIP with immediate effect.
