Adding and modifying Bands

In an organization, pay bands are a system or structure that groups jobs with similar value or worth based on their compensation levels. Pay bands provide a flexible framework for determining salary ranges, allowing for variations within a broader range rather than fixed salary points. Pay bands offer organizations the ability to accommodate factors such as experience, performance, and market conditions when determining individual employee salaries.


It's important to note that pay bands can vary in terms of their width and the number of levels or sub-bands they include. The specific structure and design of pay bands may vary depending on the organization's industry, size, and compensation philosophy.

Adding Bands to your organization


Keka also allows you to add different job bands to group employees who are at a similar job level. Depending on your definition of bands, you can create bands and assign these bands to your employees.


On the Keka HR Portal, navigate to the Org section from the left navigation pane. Select the Org Structure tab here. To add a band, go to the Bands tab. On this tab, select Add Band


 

This will open up the Add Band window. Here, select enter the details of the bands you want to include. Once done, click Add to finish. You can add as many bands as you want on Keka.



All the bands you have added will be visible on the Bands screen


Editing or Deleting a Band


You can edit or delete a band from the Bands screen. Select the band you want to delete and click on the Edit icon or the Delete icon as you wish from the Actions column.
