Candidate & Job Fields

Modified on Mon, 11 Mar at 1:44 PM

Candidate fields are important as they allow you to have relevant fields available to be filled by a candidate when they apply for a particular job on the careers website. They allow you to capture relevant information about your candidate. Job fields on the other hand allow for relevant fields to be available when creating a new job or a job requisition and help you include additional data for the job.

There are already quite a few system defined candidate and job fields present in the Keka Hire portal. You have the option to add new fields or edit existing ones.

Let us now take a look at all the actions possible under this setting -

Go to Settings (1), then click on Candidates & Job Fields (2) under Organization. You will be directed to the Candidate Fields (3) tab.

You can add a new field in Candidate Fields by clicking on the +Add Field button.

An overlay window will pop-up where you will have to fill in details of the field you want to add, such as, the Field Name, what you would want the Field Type to be, e.g. number, text, multiple choice, etc. Below that you have a set of check boxes to tick depending on your requirement.

Under Preview, you will get a glimpse of what the field would eventually look like.

And under Who can see this, you can control which job roles in the organization can view this field.

Once you are done, you can click on Save at the bottom of the overly window to create the desired field with the selected parameters.

To edit or delete an existing field under Candidate or Job, navigate to the desired field and then click on the pencil icon adjacent to that specific field.

An overlay window will open where you can make the necessary edits and then click on Update, when done.

In order to delete a particular field, scroll to that particular field and then click on the 3 dots, after which you will see the option to Delete the particular field.

A pop-up window will appear asking if you want to delete the particular field, click on Yes and the field will then be deleted.

Note - System defined fields cannot be deleted, instead they can be disabled.

We hope you now have a good understanding of how to add and modify various fields on the Keka Hire platform.
