Compensation Summary
The compensation summary section offers a comprehensive report on compensation, categorized by Departments and locations, and projected as a pie chart. You can click on any slice of the pie chart to see the amount spent for a specific department or location. Furthermore, there are summaries near the pie charts to provide a quick overview of expenses. To view compensation data from past years, simply use the dropdown menu next to Financial Year at the upper right corner of the screen, and select your preferred year.
Planned vs. Actual Compensation
In this section, you'll discover a bar graph that shows the comparison between planned and actual compensation.
To explain further, Planned Compensation is the total sum of salaries promised to employees. Actual Compensation is the real amount spent on compensation, which may differ from the planned amount for various reasons.
This information is presented in the bar graph, with each bar representing a different month of the year. Just below the graph, you can find the amount of planned compensation, actual compensation, and their variance. Next to variance you have a hyperlink "What caused the dive?" click on it to find the reasons that caused a difference between actual and planned compensations.
Employees by Salary Range
In this section, you'll find an analytical report about the salary ranges of employees. This graph helps you understand the salary distribution, showing the range of salaries that employees fall into. The data is presented in percentages on the graph.
Note: The data represented in this graph is only for the last 4 years
Below this tab, you can explore the View Average Base Pay section, which displays information about experience and salary range. It's shown as a scale where one represents the average years of experience, and the other represents the annual salary range. The average values are listed below the scales. You can customize the settings and generate data of your choice by setting the criteria and clicking run to get the data displayed on these scales. The pie chart to the right illustrates the distribution of average pay.
