Introduction

Slack notifications can be configured in Keka to send automated messages to Slack channels based on different events and workflows. This article will guide you through configuring Slack notifications in Keka.

Prerequisites

2. Before configuring Slack notifications in Keka, ensure that you have set up a Slack app and enabled incoming webhooks. Follow the steps provided in the reference article "Setting up a Slack App and Incoming Webhooks in Slack" to complete these prerequisites.

Accessing Event Triggers

To access event triggers in Keka, follow these steps:

• Log in to Keka as a privileged user with the manage event triggers permission.
• Navigate to "Settings > Integrations and Automation > Event Triggers."

Adding a Slack Notification Action to an Event Trigger

To configure Slack notifications for an event trigger, follow these steps:

• Access the desired event trigger from the event triggers page.
• Click on "+Add Action."
• Select "Slack Notification" from the drop-down menu.
• Provide a name for the Slack action.
• Paste the webhook URL generated from your Slack app's incoming webhooks configuration.

• Click "Create" to add the Slack notification action to the event trigger.

Testing the Slack Integration

To test the Slack integration in Keka, follow these steps:

• Access the event trigger with the Slack notification action.
• Click on the 3 dots accompanying the slack notification action and click on the edit option

• Click on the "Test" button to send a test notification to your configured Slack channel.

• Check the slack channel to confirm if you received the slack messaged configured.
