Why is the payslip marked 'provisional'?

Let's look into why a payslip is shown as 'Provisional'.

Go to the Payroll (1) tab. Click on Run Payroll (2). Check the payroll processing status and see if it is Completed or Pending (3).  In the screenshot below, you can see the status as Pending.
Now, check the payslip of the employee in their employee profile. It will be shown as Provisional Payslip.

Note: If the payroll processing status is 'Pending', the payslip will be marked 'Provisional'.

The provisional payslip is visible only if you do Preview Run Payroll and its only visible to the Global Admin and/or Payroll Admin.
